STUDIO POLICIES

At JJ Pilates, we aim to create a welcoming, safe, and respectful space for everyone. Please take a moment to review our studio policies before your visit.

Age Policy

  • Students ages 14–17 may attend group classes with a parent or guardian-signed waiver.
  • Students ages 12–13 may attend private sessions only, with a signed waiver.
  • Students under 12 are not permitted in group or private sessions.
  • All waivers must be signed through email or in person at JJ Pilates.

Booking Private Sessions

To book a class or private session, please purchase your session or package first.
Be sure to review our cancellation policy before booking your first class or private session.

Cell Phone Policy

We encourage you to unplug and be present during your time at JJ Pilates.

  • Please refrain from talking or texting during class.
  • If you need to take an urgent call, do so quietly in the lobby or outside.
  • You’re welcome to take photos before or after class—just make sure to photograph yourself only or ask for permission if others are in the shot.
  • We love seeing your photos! Don’t forget to tag us @doublejpilates.

No Shoes Policy

  • We keep our studio space clean, calm, and comfortable for everyone.
Please remove your shoes as soon as you walk in and place them in the cubbies provided.
  • No shoes are allowed in the studio area or on the Reformers at any time.
We recommend wearing grip socks for safety during your workout.
  • Thank you for helping us maintain a fresh, welcoming space for all our students!

Cancellation Policy: Group Classes

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy for all group classes.

  • If you can’t make it, please cancel as soon as possible to allow another student to join.

Cancellation Policy: Privates, Semi-Privates & Private Events

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for private, semi-private, and private event sessions.

  • Please cancel directly through your online account to ensure it’s processed on time.
  • Do not email cancellations, as this may delay processing.
  • Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged the full session cost.

Class Lateness Policy

We offer a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. Please plan to arrive early to make the most of your session.

No-Show Policy

There are no refunds or credits for no-shows — no exceptions.

Payment on File

All clients are required to keep a credit card on file for bookings and studio purchases.

Return Policy: Classes & Private Sessions

  • All sales are final — no refunds for classes or private sessions.
  • Prices are subject to adjustment after 365 days.
  • Private session packages expire 365 days from the purchase date.

Prenatal Policy

We love supporting expectant mothers in maintaining a safe and mindful Pilates practice throughout pregnancy.

  1. Medical Clearance — Please get approval from your healthcare provider before starting or continuing Pilates.
  2. Keep Your Instructor Informed — Let your instructor know you’re pregnant and which trimester you’re in before class.
  3. Safety First — Your instructor will guide you with modifications. You should never feel pain, strain, or breathlessness.
  4. After Baby Arrives — Once cleared by your doctor, we’ll help you safely return to movement and rebuild strength.

Postnatal Policy

Welcome back, and congratulations on your new baby! We’re here to support you in returning to Pilates safely and confidently.

  1. Get Cleared First — Make sure your healthcare provider has cleared you for exercise, especially after a C-section or if you experienced complications.
  2. Communicate with Your Instructor — Let us know how you’re feeling and if you have any postpartum considerations like diastasis recti or back pain.
  3. Rebuild Foundations — We’ll focus on posture, breath, and alignment before progressing to more dynamic movements.
  4. Go at Your Own Pace — Every recovery is unique. Listen to your body and honor your own timeline.

Waitlist Policy

If a class is full, you can join the waitlist:

  • You’ll be automatically added to class when a spot opens and you have an available credit.
  • You’ll receive a text notification when added. If you can’t attend, cancel within 24 hours to avoid a late cancellation.
  • Additions made within 24 hours of class are not subject to standard cancellation rules — staff will manually adjust your account as needed.
  • Please remove yourself from any waitlists you no longer want to join.
  • Waitlist additions close 30 minutes before class time.

Photo & Video Policy

We love when you share your Humani moments on social media!

  • Feel free to take photos or short videos before or after class, and please tag us @doublejpilates.
  • Be respectful — always ask permission before photographing or filming others.
  • Filming during group classes is not allowed, as it can be distracting. You may record yourself during private sessions with your instructor’s permission.
